Historical Tournaments
As I woke up Saturday morning at 7:21 a.m. I felt excitement, what was in store for the upcoming day. As I pulled up to the field at 9:00 a.m. the parking lot was packed. I knew it was going to be a fun day.
When I walked in I noticed there was a huge new area where teams were able to stage, allowing more teams to have more room. It was really nice, I found out when I got there that our games weren't going to start until at least 12:30, the beginner division was elected to play first. This was a good thing, it allowed the experienced teams to do final checks on their gear before it hurt them.
Once the experenced teams finished walking the field, it was on. There were many Alaskan teams that came out and made the tourney a success. Each team had it's up and down points for the day. A real battle was for 1st and 2nd place. The 2nd place team (Aftermath) only lost 2 games, while the winning team lost one. It was a great battle. There were many prizes given out.
Over 30 cases of paint were tossed out, 3 reds harnies, 3 barrel bags, T-shirts for everyone, squeegies, thermal masks, Animal paintball jerseys, Revos, dye stickey grips, 5 Tippman model 98's, 88 4500 tanks, over 25 guppys, tanning cards, gift certificate's, and a 150 Diablo gift certificate. thanks to Matt (FOOG) for the excellent reffing, you did great.
I would also like to thank Dave and Steve for once again hosting a fine tourney. I think I speak for everyone, We hope you have one again soon!!
